YOUR CIVIL WEDDING WITH DUBROVNIK LUXURY WEDDINGS

Dear brides and grooms,

In the course of the winter months we have decided to prepare for you a guide for your perfect day in Dubrovnik. No matter if you are planning a civil or religious ceremony, a big reception celebration or just an intimate dinner we will bring you all necessary info, tips and tricks that you will find of value in the days of planning.

As the biggest concern of all couples is the legal procedure to get married abroad we have decided to start with few words about it. A procedure for getting legally married in Croatia varies from one country to another but the basic procedure is the same. It is important to know that all documents must be issues maximum 3 months before the wedding, as older documents will not be accepted by Croatian authorities.

Documents required are:

Long birth certificate – with your full names and your parents names, bearing an “apostille” stamp

Copy of your passports as well as the passports of your witnesses. It is necessary that your names are exactly the same on the passport and on the long birth certificate. In the caste they are not you will be requested to change your passport.

Certificate of no impediment stating that you are free to marry also bearing an “apostille” stamp.
Some countries require some other documents such as Certificate of search that is issued by Embassy of the country in Croatia and verified by “apostille” stamp as well, but no matter where you are from and where do you live be sure that we will send you a detailed brochure describing step by step procedure and including all important contacts.

Now that we have the serious part of planning all done it is time to talk about ceremony locations….. check us out next week for some hot ideas…

Yours DLW

ANNA & LOUIS
Anna and Louis got engaged in New York but for their special day they chose Dubrovnik. A couple that loves being near the sea chose the island of Lokrum for their ceremony location. After the ceremony they treated their guests with a boat tour around the island overlooking magnificent city walls of Dubrovnik. The reception took place on the Palm terrace of the Excelsior hotel with the views to the Old town, sea and island of Lokrum.

KATE & BEN
Kate as perfect Croatian girl had to choose Dubrovnik for her dream day, even though she lives in faraway Dubai with her husband Ben. After proposing Kate in Seychelles they started planning on the wedding. The ceremony took place in the Sponza palace, gothic and renaissance palace from the middle ages. As Kate said, everything was decorated so perfectly and to the detail that she felt she walked into a movie set....Again reception was held on the Palm terrace of the Excelsior hotel, but who would resist that perfect view....
Dubrovnik again was a perfect backdrop on their photos:
